Shipping and Price Changes

Why Our Prices Are Changing
A transparent update from Soil Dynamics (April 2026)

A note from us

We believe in being open and honest with our community.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve received multiple updates from our freight partners and suppliers advising of significant increases in fuel, transport, and raw material costs.

Rather than quietly increasing our prices, we want to show you exactly what’s happening behind the scenes — so you can understand why these changes are necessary.

What’s happening behind the scenes

Across Australia and globally, businesses are experiencing:

  • Rapid increases in fuel prices
  • Higher freight and delivery costs
  • Rising raw material pricing
  • Ongoing supply chain disruptions

These changes are largely being driven by global instability and volatility in fuel and manufacturing markets.

Below are real excerpts from communications we’ve received.

Supplier & Freight Updates

Australia Post & StarTrack

From 23 April 2026, fuel surcharge rates will increase significantly:

  • Australia Post & StarTrack Courier: 4.8% to 12%
  • StarTrack Express & Premium: 15.5% to 22.7%

Due to ongoing fuel price volatility, updates may occur regularly with notice.

What this means:
Freight costs across all major carriers are increasing and may continue to change month to month.

Transport Companies

Due to rapid increases in fuel prices, Leeuwin Transport is moving to a weekly fuel levy system.

Fuel Levy (30 March – 5 April 2026): 39.52%

Adjustments will be provided weekly based on fuel benchmarks.

What this means:
Freight costs are no longer stable. They are fluctuating weekly, making shipping more expensive and unpredictable.

Supplier Pricing Update (Manufacturer)

Due to increases in fuel, transport, and raw material costs, a 5% price increase has been implemented.

Suppliers have also advised that ongoing volatility may result in:

  • Further pricing adjustments
  • Raw material shortages
  • Extended production lead times

What this means:
The cost of producing goods is increasing, and supply availability may become less reliable.

What this means for you

From 23 April 2026, the following changes will take effect:

  • Product prices will increase by 8%
  • Free shipping threshold will increase from $200 to $280
  • Shipping costs will increase by an average of 17% per item

Why we’re making these changes

We’ve held off as long as possible.

As a small business, we always aim to absorb increases where we can — but the scale and frequency of these changes mean we now need to adjust pricing to continue operating sustainably.

Our commitment to you

We are committed to:

  • Being transparent about changes
  • Keeping pricing as fair as possible
  • Continuing to deliver high-quality, mineral-dense organic products
  • Supporting you on your soil and plant health journey

Order before 23 April

If you’ve been planning to place an order, we recommend doing so before 23 April 2026 to secure current pricing and shipping rates.

Thank you

We truly appreciate your support, understanding, and trust — especially during times like this.
