What makes it different
Most wetting agents are liquid treatments that improve water penetration temporarily — they wash through and need reapplying. Coastal Cure works differently. Its leonardite base physically bonds with sand particles and restructures the soil at a microscopic level, creating permanent reservoirs that hold water and nutrients exactly where roots need them. Apply it once and your soil is fundamentally changed.

Why it works
Leonardite is a pre-coal material almost pure in carbon, very high in humic and fulvic acids. When incorporated into sandy soil it forms strong, lasting bonds with existing soil particles — building structure that improves water retention, enhances nutrient uptake efficiency and promotes stronger root development. The amorphous silica and bentonite clay work alongside it to further improve the soil matrix and moisture holding capacity. Environmentally friendly, sustainable and simple to apply.

Ingredients
Leonardite — pulverised pre-coal material, very high in humic and fulvic acids, almost pure carbon. Stimulates microbial activity and bonds permanently with soil particles.
Amorphous Silica — improves soil matrix and moisture holding capacity.
Bentonite Clay — high cation exchange capacity, holds water and builds structure.
Certified organic by Southern Cross.

Coastal Cure must be dug or incorporated into the soil — not top dressed. It needs direct contact with soil particles to form its permanent bonds.

When to apply
Before lawn installation or at lawn coring, when preparing new garden beds, and mixed into the planting hole for trees and shrubs. Can also be incorporated into existing garden beds when digging over or replanting.

How to apply
Incorporate into the top 100–200 mm of soil. Water in well after application.

Application rates
General sandy soils — 500 g to 1 kg per m²
Severe hydrophobic sand — 2 to 3 kg per m²
Pots & containers — 1–2 cups per 20 L of potting mix

Damaged or incorrect orders
Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is damaged or not what you ordered, contact us within 5 days of receiving it with a photo and we'll sort it out straight away — replacement or full refund, whichever you prefer.

Returns
Returns are at the customer's expense and must be requested before sending anything back. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
