Nutrient Rock Star

What makes it different
Most rock dusts contain a limited range of major minerals — phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, potassium and a small group of trace elements. Nutrient Rock Star delivers 70+ elements including a full suite of rare earth and ultra-trace minerals rarely found in standard products. Formulated by in-house organic agronomist Anthony Quinlan (B.Sc.), it's also finely milled to 2 mm and under — meaning minerals become available to your plants faster, not years from now.

Why it works immediately
Most rock dusts are not microbially active. Nutrient Rock Star is. During manufacturing, beneficial microbes are stimulated using the blend as a food source — so by the time it reaches your soil, it's already a living product. Non-leaching, non-alkalising, river and groundwater safe.

Ingredients & what they do

The foundation
Volcanic Basalt Dust — finely ground to 2 mm and under, containing over 60 mineral elements. The fine particle size creates a huge surface area for bacteria to colonise, making minerals available to your soil system faster than standard rock dust.

Water retention & microbial housing
Zeolite — holds more than 55% of its weight in water, acts as a nutrient storehouse and microbe refuge.
Spongolite — fossilised sponge rock, 99% pure silicon, honeycomb structure absorbs over 50% of its weight in water.
Bentonite — high cation exchange capacity (CEC). Holds water, retains nutrients and builds structure. Particularly effective on non-wetting sandy soils.

Carbon & biology
Humalite — pulverised leonardite, very high in humic and fulvic acids. Almost pure carbon. Stimulates microbial activity and feeds the soil food web.
Seaweed Extract — stimulates microbes and builds plant immunity against pest and disease.
Amino Acid — near-pure protein, feeds microbes directly and provides organic nitrogen.
Molasses — complex sugar that provides instant energy for all soil microbes.

Minerals & structure
Rock Phosphate — crushed apatite, the organic form of phosphate. Non-leaching and waterway safe.
Potassium Sulphate — essential for all plants, especially fruiting crops.
Dolomite — supplies both calcium and magnesium, reduces soil acidity.
Lime — supplies calcium, reduces acidity.
Gypsum — calcium sulphate, supplies calcium and builds structure in clay soils.

Trace elements
Manganese Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Boron — essential trace elements needed for critical plant functions. Only required in tiny amounts but absence causes deficiency fast.

Apply At These Key Times:

• At planting (mix into soil)
• First flower/budburst (sprinkle on top water in )
• Before ripening (sprinkle on top water in )
• Plants showing signs of nutrient deficiency (yellowing, interveinal chlorosis)
• Seasonal 

Application Rates For:

• Veggie Patch & Flower beds: Apply 1-2 heaped handfuls (aprox 250gm) per sqm into the top 5-10cm of soil.
• Individual seedlings add 1 tablespoon per seedling into the top 5-10cm
• Fruit Trees Mix 1 -2 kg into the hole and mix with some quality compost
• Established trees: 1-2 heaped handfuls around the drip line of the tress
• Container and Pots : Mix 1/2 - 1 cup in to every 20lt of potting mix
• Natives: apply 1 handful per sqm
• Lawns : apply 250gm per sqm seasonally or when your lawn is looking tired and water in well
• Green Manure crops Apply liberally into the top 5-10cm when seeding and turning in green manure crops
